DescriptionBlasticidin S and mildiomycin are examples of peptidyl nucleoside antibiotics with a pyranoside core moiety. The two key enzymes to make this moeity are cytosylglucuronate (or hydroxymethylcytosylglucuronate) synthase and cytosylglucuronate decarboxylase. The latter is a radical SAM enzyme.
