Description

preQ0 (7-cyano-7-deazaguanine) is the last common intermediate in the biosyntheses of queuosine (in bacteria and eukarya) and archaeosine (in archaea). preQ0 is converted to queuosine by the action of at least four enzymes, two reductases, a tRNA(GUN) transferase and an adenosylmethionine ribosyl transferase-isomerase.
