DescriptionThis ABC transporter is important for the import of cobalt ions essential for the biosynthesis of coenzyme B12. In this complex, the solute-binding (CbiN), permease (CbiQ) and ATP-binding (CbiO) subunits are accompanied by a fourth subunit (CbiM) of unknown function, although it is believed to be a membrane-spanning protein.
